Rush Me

Received as an ARC in exchange for an honest review :)
I think what was most startling about this book was that despite the fact that we have a bit of a Cinderella story going on, it was surprisingly realistic. The evolution of the relationship was so normal! Both characters had their flaws: pride, insecurity, prejudice, arrogance, vanity etc...they were very human which was different since a lot of characters in books these days tend to take on a super-human quality. There was plenty of sizzle too, me gusta alpha football dudes.
I really liked the secondary characters too. The whole football influence reminded me a lot of Susan Elizabeth Phillips' Chicago Stars series. I whole heartedly approved since that is my favorite series of hers and I love football. I like the growth that everyone went through as well. By the end of the book readers will really grow to like the characters when earlier in the novel there was a lot of pantomime strangulation going on.
The writing style was pretty great too. Plenty of wit and banter going on. I really enjoyed a lot of the conversations because I felt the genuine attempt at making these like actual conversations real people would have.
All in all, I really enjoyed the book. I recommend it and I will be keeping my eye out for the next book this author writes!
